The Azalea cocktail is as stunning in the glass as the flower it's named after. A favorite sipper during The Masters golf tournament, this vibrant pink drink strikes the perfect balance of tart lemon, sweet pineapple, and smooth gin. It's easy to make, beautifully bright, and endlessly refreshing.

Azalea cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz gin

  • 2 oz pineapple juice

  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1 bar spoonful of grenadine (adjust to taste)

  • Lemon twist or edible flower, for garnish

  • Ice

Preparation:

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  2. Add gin, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and grenadine.

  3. Shake well for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.

  4. Pour into a rocks or high ball glass.

  5. Garnish with a lemon twist or a fresh edible flower for a floral nod to the cocktail’s name.

*Notes & suggestions:

  • For a slightly sweeter cocktail, double the grenadine.

  • For a lighter version, top with a splash of club soda.

Variations:

  • Vodka Azalea: Swap gin for vodka for a milder flavor profile.

  • Rosé Azalea: Add a splash of dry rosé wine for a floral twist.

  • Spicy Azalea: Muddle a few jalapeño slices before shaking for a cocktail with a little kick.
