Creamy yet bright, with just the right balance of tang and spices, this Southern-Style Chicken Salad is comfort food at its finest. It’s perfect for everything from a quick lunch on buttery croissants to a crowd-pleasing picnic spread. Plus, it’s incredibly easy to make with simple ingredients that come together in minutes.

Ingredients:
2 cups shredded chicken
½ cup mayo
¼ cup celery
¼ cup sweet pickle relish
1 tsp Dijon
1 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp paprika
Salt and pepper
¼ tsp sugar
2 hard-boiled eggs
Preparation:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, chopped celery, and sweet pickle relish.
Add the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix everything gently but thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly combined.
Fold in the chopped hard-boiled eggs carefully to maintain some texture and creaminess.
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Sometimes a little extra salt or a lemon juice brightens everything up.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld together.
Serve chilled on buttery croissants, toasted baguette slices, or your favorite crackers. It also shines over a bed of crisp lettuce for a lighter option.
Notes & Suggestions:
For an extra Southern touch, try topping it with a sprinkle of chopped toasted pecans or a dash of hot sauce.
