If you’re looking for a weeknight dinner that feels fresh but still delivers on flavor, this Soy Ginger Salmon is it. A quick marinade infuses the fish with salty-sweet umami and just a hint of spice, while the air fryer gives it that golden caramelized finish in under 10 minutes.

Soy Ginger Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 5 oz each)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar

  • Dash of sriracha, optional

Note: If you’re cooking a larger quantity of salmon, simply double or triple the marinade ingredients.

Preparation:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients, except for the salmon. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-lock bag and pour the marinade over top. Let it sit for 20–30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F while the salmon marinates.

  3. Place the salmon skin-side down in the basket. Air fry for 7–9 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet, until the surface is caramelized and the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  4. Let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds, if desired.
